Matt is married to his high school sweetheart. Together they have two wonderful kids, an amazing daughter-in-law, and soon their first grandchild. Matt has been a nurse for 24 years and, for most of that time, a pastor as well. In his roles as nurse and pastor, Matt has worked with many people going through some of the most difficult times of their lives. These experiences have given him a passion for helping nurses connect with their identity, fight burnout, and build lives they want to live. He does this through his business, Restoring Nurses, and his recently published books, The Restored Nurse and Healthy Start for New Nurses.
