After a brain injury ended her 25-year nursing career, Cheri turned fully toward painting as both a healing practice and a professional pursuit. Her work is known for bold mark-making, layered texture, and a raw, soulful tension that invites viewers to slow down and feel. She is the founder of Carandanis Fine Art, where she creates large-scale abstract works, teaches creative resilience, and shares the behind-the-scenes realities of the artistic life through her growing YouTube channel. Cheri believes creativity isn’t about talent or perfection, it’s about courage, attention, and showing up honestly, even when things feel unfinished.
